Axis Ottawa 2014

• A two-day conference that was held at Algonquin College, Ottawa, in September 2014. This inaugural event featured startup pitches to investor panels, investor presentations, keynote speakers, one-on-one meetings with companies and investors, an exclusive dinner for startups and investors, and many opportunities for networking. 

  • 200 attendees, including many of Ottawa's technology leaders, startup executives, and executives from global technology companies as well as strategic investment firms. 

  • 20 startup companies presented from a cross section of sectors. 

  • 17 investors from outside of Ottawa, from 12 different countries, representing over $1 billion in funding. 

  • Speakers and panelists included executives from Cisco, Deloitte, Ontario Brain Institute, SanDisk Ventures, IBM Venture Capital Group, Ontario Centres of Excellence, and Invest Ottawa.
