India & Israel 2-Nation Challenge
ABOUT
The Sunrise State of Andhra Pradesh is sponsoring its largest 2-Nation Challenge to date, between India and Israel. The event will take place in Tel Aviv on 27-28 January 2019, and in Andhra Pradesh on 2-3 February 2019.
Teams will be selected for each Challenge Question - Local Water Purification, Digitizing Water Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Agricultural Supply Chain - to travel to India with a terrific opportunity to get into the huge Indian market.
START
The Challenge will take place at the Council for a Beautiful Israel, 80 Rokach Blvd, Tel Aviv on Sunday January 27, and the final pitches will take place at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, 2 Ahuzat Bayit, Tel Aviv on Monday January 28.
CHALLENGE QUESTIONS
Choose the Challenge that you have the answer for, at least at the Proof Of Concept (POC) level. The Indian government is eager for solutions!
Local Water Purification
Untreated bodies of waste-water and ground water are a huge challenge in India's outlying towns and remote villages. Do you have an outstanding technology that can treat water to be usable or drinkable in these types of communities, reliably and cost-effectively?
Cyber Security
Indian companies face cyber threats on many fronts. This Challenge Question relates to enterprise security and particularly keeping a company's data and other electronic resources safe. Do you have a technique or technology that will give Indian companies the upper hand in preventing incursion, theft, or manipulation of their electronic systems, transactions, and data holdings?
Digitizing Water Infrastructure
The infrastructure for water distribution in India is massive and has many moving parts. Connecting it all to the web is a huge challenge, but it will allow easy monitoring of water quality, leaks, contamination, pumping and energy management, and flow/usage measurement. Can you provide innovative tools to meet these needs?
Agricultural Supply Chain
Excellent Supply Chain Management is critical in getting the most value possible from India's agriculture produce. Do you have a technology or system that can enhance efficiency and security in India's agricultural economy, from seeds through farming and to the point of food consumption?

Over $65,000 total prizes - this Challenge leads directly to results! Prizes include:
5 fully expense-paid trips plus cash allowance to meet with Indian governments and business leaders to advance your innovations
2 fully paid pilots of your innovation with the appropriate Indian government departments

Road To Success In India!
Terms and Conditions -This initiative is on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) part of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India. APIS will award a total of USD65,000 for the Israel SOCH initiative as follows: First prize of USD31,500 for travel to India and initiation of a pilot project with APIS, to be disbursed in three installments. First disbursement of USD9,450 upon full definition of the solution and acceptance by APIS, second disbursement of USD9,450 upon completion of the solution and pilot, and third disbursement of USD12,600 within 90 days of the solution running in a production environment and providing field results. Second prize of USD21,000 for travel to India and initiation of a Pilot project with first disbursement of USD6,300 upon full definition of the solution and acceptance by the Department, second disbursement of USD6,300 upon completion of the solution and Pilot, and third disbursement of USD8,400 within 90 days of the solution running in a production environment and providing field results. In addition five teams will each be awarded USD2,500 for travel to India and participation in APIS SOCH activities in India. The terms of participation in the Challenge and awarding of prizes are the sole responsibility of the government of Andhra Pradesh, India.
